Tolcarne Beach is one of the four beaches that make up Newquay Bay. At low tide, they all join into one long expanse of sand. The beach is ideal for surfing, water suports and families and is lifeguarded by the RNLI during the main seasons from May to October. Surf hire is available on the beach.
Access to the beach is down a steep road or steps. Along the back of the beach there are beach huts, luxury beach accommadation, The Colonial Restaurant, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and a beach cafe serving snacks and refreshments.
The beach is dog friendly but restrictions apply during the peak seasons. Parking is available nearby in Newquay Town. On the cliff top above Tolcarne bech is the Barrowlands. An area of green which in the summer season has bouncy castles and other activities for children.
