Fistral Beach Bar
Updated: May 8
Part of the International Surf Centre Complex at the North end of Fistral Beach, Fistral Beach Bar is probably one of the most perfect places I know of to enjoy a cold beer whilst watching the sunset over the Fistral Beach.
The large decking area with a selection of seating has the best views and is perfect for meeting and catching up with friends or romantic cocktails for two. On colder days, there are outdoor heaters and for the really wet and windy days that North Cornwall sometimes experiences, there is a spacious indoor area with comfy sofas to cosy up and escape from the elements.
The drinks menu is extensive with a cocktails including classics like tequila sunrise and expresso martini as well as there own special gin cocktail creations which include candy floss gin, cherry bakewell or rhubarb and custard, all served with plenty of garnish.
There is usually plenty going on at the beach bar with surf competitions to watch, DJ sessions and silent discos. But actually just watching the waves is usually more than enough.
Food wise, its definitely not gourmet, but they have a selection of tasty, filling and easy to eat choices including pizzas, salads, loaded fries and nachos which are great to keep you going after a day out and about on the beach or when the view is too amazing and you just don't want to leave (It happens!). They also do tasty breakfasts, pasties and hot drinks making it the ideal place to stop off if you are walking along the coastal path. And on Sundays, there is a hearty roast dinner.
