I often pop to the Pavillion Bakery in Fore Street Newquay to treat myself and my girls to their delicious cinnamon and cardoman buns! .
It's not traditionally Cornish, Pavillion Newquay is part of a small chain of bakeries that started in East London but they do use exceptional ingredients including flour, butter, eggs and chocolate sourced from the UK's best sustainable farmers which makes me very happy and also makes everything taste pretty amazing. They also bake slow fermented breads and pastries and serve freshly brewed coffee and tasty lunches and sell some other top quality food including homemade pickles, jams and ferments, cheeses and drinks. They are all about healthy and seasonal produce which inspires both their menu and products.
They are also a value led business that sources ethically, uses the least impactful packaging and puts back into the local community. In contrast to the many pasty shops dotted around Newquay, the whole of the bakery is meat free.
There is lovely seafront spot overlooking the beach with benches (behind the fore street carpark) which is perfect for sitting and enjoying your breakie on a warm day.They have a click and collect service coming soon which will be perfect for lazy Sunday breakfasts!
